Lapperts Mac Nut Ice Cream

I stopped by Lappert’s in Scripps Poway to drop off some Musubi Maps.  Since I was in the area I had plans to go to Ipo BBQ down the road to have some rice and meat, but how can you walk in to an ice cream joint on a hungry stomach without sampling some creamy cold goodness?  Almost impossible.  Of course my excuse was….”I can blog about it.”

So for the sake of you readers, I decided to try a signature Lappert’s flavor, Macadamia Nut Ice Cream.  Now I don’t like nuts in my brownies, cookies, OR ice cream.  On occasion I will eat choco covered mac nuts, and some times I eat mac nuts plain, but I’m not nutty about any of it.  I have to be craving it first.  So just so you know I totally sacrificed myself just so you guys can know if this flavor is worthy……and ho man, this stuff was super crazy deliciously ono broke da mout kine!  I was sooo surprised and I am claiming it right now….so go try that stuff.  It taste very authentic.  It wasn’t like just some vanilla flavored ice cream with mac nuts.  It was mac nut ice cream with huge chunks of mac nuts and the combo of it all was ridiculous.  Nuff said, go sample.  (Other flavors: Kauai Pie, Haupia Sorbet, Lilikoi Sorbet, Manila Mango)
