Beer and Sake Festival SD
Aya and the Japan Society of SD and TJ did it up at the San Diego Marriot in Del Mar this last Friday with their annual Beer & Sake Festival. The concept is that each restaurant prepares a schmall kine pupu, and that pupu is paired with a beer or sake. Basically, Japanese inspired food, beer & sake for three straight hours. How does that sound? This was a pretty classy event that attracted some pretty classy peeps, but let’s be real. 98.9% of the folks in there were stuffing their faces as much as possible and trying to get their money’s worth within the three hours. (Oh, you too?) “Classy” was replaced with “hungry” and I am not saying this is a bad thing at all. Lucky for me (and more for you) I can’t stand the taste of beer, so I stayed “classy” all night (hehe). Bottom line is that if you love Japanese inspired food and beverage and you didn’t attend, you missed out. I’ll let the photos tell you more. Here’s a link to Japan Society so you can go next year.
