I would say 3 days for Arches, 2-3 days for Canyonlands, depending on how much you want to do!

I drove to Moab from SLC on Thursday at 8am, did Dead Horse, Canyonlands, and Corona Arch (this one is out of the National Parks and totally worth it…). Slept in a motel, woke up at 5 AM to do Delicate Arch at sunrise and then drove back all the way to SLC. Back in time for the start of the conference I’m attending in town. Little bit of a whirlwind adventure, but I’m from Toronto (btw, loved that post too) and simply had to see those desert landscapes for the first time in my life. Worth all the driving… I wouldn’t have had another opportunity to do that in a loooong time.
