Based in Glasgow, Scotland and Alfreton, Derbyshire (both UK), Component Coatings and Repair Services (CCRS) specialises in the repair and coating of components for gas turbines.

Engine-component overlay and diffused coating

CCRS, previously known as ‘Component Coating Services’ and ‘Component Repair Services’, is privately owned. Our Glasgow division is well-established in offering the most well-known overlay and diffused coating, such as the Ipcote range of products, for both new and overhaul engine components.

Corrosion protection, erosion protection, anti-fouling and dry-film lubrication coatings

The Ipcote range of coating systems provides corrosion protection, erosion protection, anti-fouling and dry-film lubrication.

Diffusion coating for sulphidation protection

We also provide IPAL, a diffusion coating for ‘hot end’ sulphidation protection.

Component Coatings and Repair Services

Indestructible paint and coating systems for gas turbines

These indestructible paint and coating systems are the approved equivalent of Sermatech’s Sermetel range, and are applied to Rolls-Royce Avon, Olympus, Dart, Trent, RB211, Siemens (i.e. Ruston TB, TA etc) and Solar gas turbines. The division also offers an on-site service and has provided coating systems to large GE-framed engines in the Middle East.

Manufacture and repair of gas and steam-turbine components

Our Alfreton division specialises in repair and new manufacture of a wide range of gas and steam-turbine components. These services range from ‘tip repair’ of compressor blades and vanes, repairs to combustion/flame tubes, replacement honeycomb seals, specialised welding, fabrication and strip, inspection (including laboratory reports), braze/welds repair, and re-coating of turbine blades, vanes and NGVs.

We have experience in providing repairs to Rolls-Royce RB211, Avon, Olympus, Allison 501, Siemens (Ruston TA,TB, RT engines) and Solar gas turbines.
